The rider of a motor scooter was injured in a one-vehicle accident Thursday on southbound Interstate 540 at Arkansas Highway 264 in Lowell, according to a press release from the Arkansas State Police.

Area residents found a way Saturday to help those in need and themselves. First Security Bank locations in Springdale and Lowell joined forces with Shred-it, a document shredding company, to offer residents document shredding in exchange for donations of food or money.
