Louisville Zoo makes extra effort to care for aging gorillas
Frank, a 45-year-old resident of the Louisville Zoo's Gorilla Forest, takes 15 pills a day, and fellow forest denizen Timmy, who is 49, takes nine a day.
Making sure the aging gorillas get their daily meds is part of the routine of zoo veterinarian Dr. Roy Burns, Gorilla Forest supervisor Roby Elsner and the staff of five that tends to the senior primates.
