Mr. Mazzucchi,

I have gone to 2 of the Tea Party meetings, I don't think any one thinks of themselves as being better or more patriotic than you. Actually I am a steady reader of yours and I generally agree with you more than some of the other opinion writers for the BBDN. At least one of them goes to the Tea Party gatherings. If you haven't gone, try it you might like it. Yes, its true there will be some crack pots in any group, it goes with the territory, but the point isn't about going its about limited government, fiscal accountability and the Constitution. I would like to get a group going which would meet weekly to study the Constitution. I recently read Mitchner's book about the constitutional congress that wrote the Constitution. I think it would be splendid if more people could escape the influence of Fox "News" and begin their recovery from ditto heads and becker heads.

Democracy is messy, its the way it is and it's a lot like herding cats. I have talked with many of my acquaintances here in Tehama County and their reactions to our fiscal, actually moral, crisis ranges from anarchy to suggesting that a military junta should rule America. Most of the people who speak at the Tea Party are right wing, most have been taken advantage of by the Rush and Glenn types because they lack the critical analysis skills you have. But the best way to influence the opposition is lead it.

The media tries to portray two choices for America; Right or left. I say that's crap, there is a middle and moderate way, the Constitution!! If we allow ourselves to be polarized by Rush , Glenn, Shawn and Bill then we will end up with a real mess that many can't even begin to imagine. Next worse scenario is a new constitutional convention and the worst would be pure anarchy, with drug lords and other criminals in charge of a completely fragmented society, like Mexico's.

So you "can't fight for your country in the battlefield". Looking at the statement objectively leads me to the llogical conclusion that it is your choice in the matter and that you should use the term you won't, not can't fight for your country. So we aleready know you aren't the most honest guy when it comes to little details like telling it like it is, so why should we bother taking anything else you say or write seriously? Listen folks the universities are cranking out thousands of these so called "progressives" that like to tell us how to live our lives. They want to sit out on their redwood deck and tell you that you can't cut down trees...They want to fly around in big jumbo jets and tell you that your car has to get a certain gas miileage...LIBERALISM IS A MENTAL DISORDER.

Can't, won't, who cares?! I agree, the correct word is "won't", but his failure to use the right word does NOT make him dishonest.

Whether you're liberal/progressive or conservative/neocon, both sides are telling us how to live our lives to one degree or another. Claiming one side is a "mental disorder" isn't truth, it's just intolerance, and perhaps that intolerance could be considered the "mental disorder". So think about it, we all have our views. Let's try to show some respect, and tolerance, for our freedom of ideas and speeches.

Daily Horoscope for December 27

Taurus

Make a big effort to spend time with people you didn't see on Christmas Day, especially if they're older than you or are having a bad time at the moment. You're brimming over with compassion and empathy, which will be really appreciated by anyone who's on the receiving end of them. You're also in the mood to make allowances for people, and that will help enormously.
