Local bikers roll on for good cause

Full story: LA Daily News

Nothing will shake the apathy out of you like the thunder of 400 motorcycles. Unless it's the quiet words of the men and women aboard those bikes Saturday in the second annual West Valley Memorial Motorcycle Ride.

Motorcycles pollute 3x's what a typical SUV puts out...all so a lousy chump change 10k raised. Big waste of energies considering 30,000 people starve to death every day in the world, the USA is wasting lives daily fighting wars to appease Zionists seeking to rule the world, millions of Americans have and millions more will lose their homes, we have a Marxist president..I could go on. What's the big deal if a cop gets dusted? What makes cops of greater merit than the store clerk or truck driver that looses their life? F all this malarkey. Again, big freakin waste.

Tell ya what, then, Chuckles...don't call us if you find your car stolen, home broken into, somebody sticks a gun in your face and takes your wallet... what a stand-up guy you are!

Hey Chuck,
Even with your piss poor attitutude, the cops will still be there when your house or car get broken into- or God forbid, you get robbed, or someone tries to harm your loved ones. So have a great life, continue with your negativity- it helps the WHOLE WORLD when you complain about something that is for the good of others- so keep it up, and I can't wait to hear when Karma bites you in the arse!! Life may be tough, but I still gotta feel reallybad for someone with your attitude and outlook on life!!

Wow lots of love for the motorcycle riders in here ;)

I was in that ride, was quite an experience having the whole freeway to ourselves but the ride wasn't all that much fun, of course it was all for a good cause though.

That's me in the black T-Shirt and my 11 year old son (who rode on the back) in the red jacket.

It just amazes me to see what started out to be a great story end up to be torn to pieces! I thank the Daily News for sharing the story with us, it only shows that our Law Enforcement Officers do have normal lives and live every day like you and I and STILL support the community after the uniform comes off and the leather goes on! Ride on guys, and I hope there is another one n3ext year, I will be there!

one word.
ignorance.
this ride went to raise money to the families of fallen officers. end of story.
keep the other political garbage and biker opinions out it.
each person who rode took money out of their pocket to give back to the families of law enforcement officers who have lost their lives.
anyone who has anything negative to say about really needs to get a life and try to see past their own selfish views.

Don't spend the 10k all in one place chumps in blue.

An event was held in Beverly Hills where the Marxist raised over a million $. Vice President Joseph Biden helped raise money for California Sen. Barbara Boxer's 2010 re-election bid at a Saturday luncheon on Sept. 12 at Ron Burkle's Green Acres estate in Beverly Hills.

Carole King performed, and special guests billed included Candace and Derek Fisher, Cookie and Magic Johnson, and Holly Robinson Peete and Rodney Peete.

Tickets started at $1,000 per person for the reception, and $5,000 per person for the reception and luncheon (or $10,000 per couple).

Chairs of the event are Ron Burkle, Debra and Sim Farar, Ruth Singer and Mickey Meyers.

Daily Horoscope for December 4

Gemini

You're normally pretty canny, but today you're wearing rose-tinted glasses that prevent you seeing what's really going on. There probably isn't much harm in this if your vision is only temporarily obscured, but you could be heading for financial problems if you persist in taking a very idealistic view of a current situation. Be realistic, especially if someone's health or welfare is involved.
