Lawmakers to high court: Protect pregnant workers
More than 120 members of Congress are urging the Supreme Court to recognize that pregnant workers are entitled to reasonable accommodations such as light duty. They say the protections are needed to ensure that expecting mothers are not forced out of their jobs.

High-Speed Chase Ends in Wreck, Arrest
A car stolen in Prince William County ended up a wrecked mess in the middle of Interstate 95 in Fairfax County on Saturday evening, according to Virginia State Police. Tyron L. Duffie, 46, of Manassas, is charged with DUI , DUI refusal, one felony count of eluding police, auto larceny, driving on a suspended license, and reckless driving.

Carolyn Cross, deputy director for operations for the department, was found dead in the 4800 block of Kenmore Avenue in Alexandria at 8:12 a.m. Cross was 64. Storm Knocks Out Power to More Than 1,000 Homes in Lorton
According to a Dominion Power outage map, an area along Furnace Road in Lorton shows that 1,221 homes are without power. The estimated time that power will be restored to the area is between 11 p.m. and 1 a.m., according to Dominion.
