GM announced today that it will debut an all-new car called the Cruze at the Paris Motor Show in October.

Chevrolet hasn't actually shown off any pictures, but we've gotten a peek at the name-plate of the new car coming to the Lordstown assembly plant.

Obama, Clinton appeal together for Dem unity

UNITY, N.H. (AP) _ Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton sought to turn the page on their bitter, history-making fight for the Democratic presidential nomination, declaring the next chapter is about beating Republican John McCain.

Republican John McCain is in Ohio for two days of town-hall events followed by fundraisers for his presidential campaign.

' Trustees have appointed Richard A. "Dick" Puerner, a member of the township's zoning board, to fill the vacant trustee position, and hired former trustee Paul Moracco to a newly created position.

General Motors says about 13 percent of the 20,000 hourly workers employed at GM plants in Ohio have elected to take buyouts or retire early.

According to figures compiled by the Regional Chamber, the addition of new jobs at Lordstown will provide more than forty-five million dollars in additional payroll.

The third shift at the Lordstown car plant can't come soon enough for Chevrolet dealers.

The General Motors Lordstown plant is working quickly to get 1,400 people trained and ready to go on August fourth.
