A 21-year-old man was arrested on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon after he refused to stop for East Longmeadow police and brushed one of the officers with his car mirror.

By GEORGE GRAHAM ggraham@repub.com EAST LONGMEADOW - East Longmeadow Police arrested three Enfield men Tuesday night and charged them with robbing three youths at knifepoint as they walked to a carnival downtown.

A two-car crash sent a car careening into a house in Longmeadow Thursday night. One of the cars went across the lawn, and took out a bush, a light pole and a bay window at 750 Laurel Street.

Six people are in stable condition after the two cars they were traveling in collided at the intersection of Shaker Road and North Maple Street Saturday, police said.

The 4th of July is only a few weeks away, and many families are looking for local events to participate in.
