Fire Damages 1,000 Hay Bales on SD Farm
Fire damaged about 1,000 round hay bales on a McPherson County farm. No one was hurt, but firefighters in shifts spent Wednesday night and much of Thursday controlling the blaze at the Ken and Nina Kunz farm southwest of Long Lake to keep it from spreading to buildings.
Some residents of the northeastern South Dakota town of Long Lake are worried that the shutdown of their post office will be permanent.
While many area residents are out of power, area stores are out of generators. Tool Crib of the North in Bismarck is completely sold out of its 5000 watt generators.
