The Nation's Weather

Hot temperatures were forecast Sunday in the East as a ridge of high pressure remains dominant from the Southern Plains through the Northeast. Temperatures well into the 90s were expected throughout the region. Humid conditions were expected to prevent the temperatures from dropping significantly overnight.

Rain and thunderstorms were likely from eastern Oklahoma through northern Michigan.

A trough of low pressure was expected to produce rain and even some areas of snow in Montana and the Dakotas.
