Littleton planner calls parking an impediment to overlay plan

The availability of parking near Littleton Common is a significant impediment to mixed-use development, Planning Board Chairman Mark Montanari argued last night during a discussion of proposed overlay zoning for the district.

A very important point missing from this article is that residents attending the meeting very much disagreed with the Boards suggestion to use residential property for parking spaces. Residents have sent letters to the Planning Board in opposition to this idea and strongly ask the Board to find other options towards parking needs in the Common business district. We should not penalize residential property and zoning because it abuts commercial property.
Tell me when this thread is updated!
