This story leaves a lot of unanswered questions. The "chief" who complained, failed to mention that his informant was selling drugs, that is why the 6th district judge signed a search warrant requested. No informant should be selling drugs. The second failed to mention item is that the cheif is responsible for introducing an old deputy who quit the sheriff's department after his ticket rival beat him in an election. The old deputy who quit? He lost a court case and perjured himself three times during the trial. Word was put out that he made a false arrest and falsely imprissoned someone - that cost him the election. Then a civil suit for $100,000 was filed against him by the person he illegally subjected to the arrest and imprisonment. Lots people in Linn county don't know the truth about, or maybe they do and just don't care about facts.
