Lincolnville man charged with assault on officer's wife found not guilty
A judge found that a Lincolnville man who forced his way into a home and assaulted a police officer's wife lacked the mental capacity to commit the crimes and found him not guilty of the charges he faced in connection with the incident.

Selectmen hear concerns over fire station parcel
Concerns of abutters to a site on Beach Road intended for a future fire station took up the bulk of the selectmen's meeting Tuesday, Nov. 12. The issues stemmed from the fact that voters at a special town meeting and in the Nov. 5 election authorized the Board of Selectmen to accept a gift of $45,000 from Lincolnville Volunteer Fire Department Inc.

Union 69 towns pass amended school budgets
In addition to the statewide questions, the School Union 69 towns of Appleton, Hope and Lincolnville each voted on an amended school budget Tuesday, Nov. 5. Two of the towns, Hope and Lincolnville, amended their school budgets to use state funds to cover teacher retirement costs the state shifted to school districts last year.
