The disappearance of a Johns Hopkins University graduate student once gripped the region and became known as the "Route 29 Stalker" investigation, but 17 years later her case remains unsolved.

She was traveling from Baltimore, Md., to Charlottesville. The graduate student's remains were found two months later off Route 3 in Lignum.
