ETNA -- The Etna Township Board exempted the Southwest Licking School District from paying a $150 sign fee at the site of the district's proposed new school at Smoke Road and U.S. 40.

A Park Hill inmate died today at South Central Correctional Center in Licking, according to a news release from the facility.

A man from Licking suffered serious injuries Friday night when he was thrown from his car on a Texas County road, the Missouri Highway Patrol reported.
