Monticello man charged in stabbing death of girlfriend's dog
State police at Liberty said they received a call around 10 p.m. Saturday from a veterinarian at the Animal Hospital of Sullivan County in Ferndale, asking that a trooper witness the euthanasia of an injured dog that had been dropped off by its owner and her boyfriend.

Police say Jose Ramos, 71, has early onset Parkinson's disease and dementia. He was last seen at his home on Arkansas Avenue on July 2 at about 8:00 a.m. Ramos is described as Hispanic, about 5'-8" tall, 160 lbs, with short brown hair, hazel eyes and a white mustache.
