<![CDATA[CENTERVILLE, Ind. - Martin E. McCord, age 71, of Centerville, died Friday, March 7, 2014, at Reid Hospital. Born February 7, 1943, in New Castle, Indiana, Martin lived in Wayne and Union Counties for most of his life. He was a 1962 graduate of Short High School in Liberty, Indiana. Martin was a foreman and superintendant for the Wayne County Highway Department, and retired in 2007 with 44 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, and mushroom hunting. Martin loved the outdoors and trips to Canada. Survivors include his wife, Linda Joyce Crocker McCord, to whom he was married on July 25, 1964; daughter, Teresa McCord of Centerville; son, Daniel (Cher) McCord of Fishers, Indiana; two granddaughters, Nikole and Kendall McCord of Fishers, Indiana; three half-sisters, Patricia (Martin) Strava of Prescott, Arizona, Donna (Tim) Hamm of Richmond, and Karen (Layton) McPherson of Tucson, Arizona; nieces; nephews; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Mary Catherine and Ralph Feustel. Visitation for Martin E. McCord will be from 12 to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at Mills Funeral Home, 405 East Main Street, Centerville. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at Mills Funeral Home with Rev. James L. Girdley officiating. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
