Workers continue to fight ice covered roads
County workers are still clearing the roads from sun-up to sun-down in Logan County ever since the icy weather hit last Sunday night and early Monday morning.
County receives report on recycling program progress
Logan County magistrates have been curious about the success of the countywide recycling program that began in June of last year, which prompted them to ask Scott Waste Services to present an overview at the Tuesday, Feb. 11th fiscal court meeting.
Lewisburg cheerleaders complete great season
The Lewisburg Middle School cheerleaders had a successful season this year. They received overall Grand Champions / 1st Place at Logan County Middle School Cheer Competition, 1st place in small division at Cupid Classic, and 1st place in small division at Cheer Mania.
Community Ed EXCEL class dates changed
Community Education will still be offering a pair of classes this month, but the EXCEL class will now begin on March7, instead of Feb. 27. Community Education is offering a beginning EXCEL class, to be taught by Diane Crawley, at Russellville High on Thursday, March 7, March 14 and March 21, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The cost is $45.
Final payment expected to be made soon on radio repeaters
Final payment for two digital radio repeaters purchased by the county last summer is expected to be voted on at the Tuesday, Feb. 11 fiscal court meeting.
