Tanglewood's tributes to Leonard Bernstein well-crafted
If there was ever a season that I would have liked to live in the Berkshires with nothing to do but go to Tanglewood, this was it. The Boston Symphony Orchestra and its education wing, the Tanglewood Music Center, produced a jam-packed slate of concerts, operas and other special events paying lavish tribute to the beloved Lenny, who was classical composer and Broadway tunesmith, a conductor with probing insight and daring flair, and a generous teacher for the masses.
