No, it isn't that crowded after you've moved city departments to other locations - as with the police dept getting their own building on Grand Street.
But when you decentralize, the mayor can't be so control-freakish over everything.

And he is certainly a control freak who loves to spend money. That stupid mayor needs to go with all his family members.

Yes, a certain city employee (who shall remain nameless, for obvious reasons) related to me an event that occurred once with Mayor Matt.

At a meeting of employees, the Mayor asked the question: "Are there any complaints?" The employees assumed (wrongly, it turned out) that since the mayor had asked for complaints it would be okay to render them.

The mayor became incensed. Apparently they were expected to answer with something like: "Oh no, Mr. Mayor! How can we have complaints with you in charge?!"

Control-freak indeed!

I don't doubt that one tiny bit. He is a dictator that doesn't lead. He demands, and you better mind him. He looks a little bit like Napolean if you look real close at him! LOL

Yes, I've noticed that.

HoBo:

Ordinarily I avoid pointing out anyone else's grammatical / typographical errors because I make so many of them myself, doing so would be a misguided exercise in throwing rocks out the window of my glass house.

However, since you decided to sharply rebuke nanna 1958 over the obvious typo (leaving out the "am" in the sentence), it occurred to me that someone should point out that "ignoramus" is a noun ("person, place or thing" from your 3rd grade text book), hence, Mr. Divelbiss cannot become more or less "ignoramus" anymore than he can become more or less a cow, or a tree and I'm not even going to get into the whole "speak wiser" vs. "speak more wisely" thing.

Seems puerile and mean-spirited to comment on your minor error, doesn't it? I agree ... it is. A more mature and thoughtful person would engage you clearly and fairly on the merits of your point - assuming of course that you have one.

You are the one that does not need to be on this blog making fun of anyone. You are ugly as well as goofy so why don't you go somewhere else to play, ignorant.

AGAIN, I don't think 3rd graders should be playing on the web. You better tell your mommy what you are doing.

Hey Mandy, you and Ho are both stupid and do not belong on a blog with adults. How about getting yourself off of here and getting to work and quit using up your employer's time.

A tad thin-skinned about having your errors pointed out I see. Well, I understand. It does sting which is why I generally don't do it to others.

Still, I'll be interested in understanding why you are entitled to a special and unique dispensation. Why should you be spared the ridicule you you so freely dispense to others? What accounts for your "don't do to me what I freely do to others" sensibility?

I'm just spit-balling here, but my quest is that you're just another in a long, sad procession of pedestrian gits who earn their living from the scraps of the local political establishment and feel compelled to launch forth in defense of the otherwise indefensible conduct of your masters when they are publicly criticized. That is understandable - if not especially noble.

On the other hand, I could be wrong and you could be just an anonymous jerk with more time than grace.

Either way, the question is interesting even if you're not.

Shyster, I forgot that you are into politically-correct speech. Should the matter arise again I will try to remember that the mayor is a "vertically-challenged individual".

Put a check on that paranoia, before you start seeing a Debbie behind every blog again.

Daily Horoscope for December 6

Virgo

Luckily, you're less susceptible to people leaning on you today, but there's still a chance that someone might try to take advantage of your good nature. It's so darn difficult to stand up to them, partly because you genuinely want to help if you can, and partly because you don't want to be seen in a bad light. But you don't want to be seen as a doormat either, do you?
