Asheville police probe rash of armed robberies

"About 2 a.m. Friday, a group of men robbed three people as they were in the parking lot at 1 Resort Drive, headed toward the hotel. The offenders then ran away in an unknown direction.

THE VICTIMS WERE INTOXICATED AT THE TIME of the robbery and it was difficult for them to provide much detail to police. One victim said he had been punched during the robbery and another hurt his leg as he attempted to get away from the suspects."

Folks, if you are so drunk that you are in a group of THREE people and can still get robbed in friggin' Asheville -- it serves you right! Maybe you'll learn some street smarts! Hint: ease up on the booze.

Hey JERK! It should be safe to walk in the parking lot of a resort hotel with out getting robbed at gunpoint. I hope these same sorry cowards put a gun to your head! Get a life!
