Hereford will soon have a new hospital. Deaf Smith County voters approved a proposition to allow the hospital district to issue $28 million in bonds to pay for a new 80,000-square-foot, 41-bed medical center on 15th Street in Hereford.

While voters in Potter and Randall counties on Tuesday will decide among a series of constitutional amendments, other voters in the Panhandle have some local questions they must decide.

People in Gray County are cleaning up after a tornado hit just east of Pampa. Power lines are knocked down, roofs are gone, and trees are up-rooted. At one point, there were reports that 3,500 people lost power in Pampa.
