* Alva Bridge: Traffic could be delayed while crews work on the Bascule span and electrical system from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday through June 9. * Coconut Road: Work is under way west of U.S. 41. * U.S. 41: Crews will be working on the northbound road shoulder from Coconut to Williams roads. * Cape Coral Bridge: Steel beams will be repaired westbound on the bridge road over the Caloosahatchee. Lanes could be closed except during peak hours. * Del Prado Boulevard Extension: Northeast 23rd Street is temporarily closed at Northeast 16th Place for about a month. The closure is necessary so crews can build the southside approach to the new mainline bridge at Del Prado Boulevard over the Jaguar Canal. There is a new traffic pattern on Del Prado. Traffic south of Kismet Parkway will be directed into the east lanes of Del Prado and will still be confined to one northbound and one southbound traffic lane. * U.S. 41: Southbound lanes could be closed from Del Prado to Sabal Springs boulevard while crews work in the median. * Skyline Boulevard: The road will be reduced to lanes northbound from Trafalgar Parkway to Southwest 21st Street. * Trafalgar Parkway: Eastbound lanes will be reduced to two way opposing traffic from just east of Skyline Boulevard to Southwest 4th Court while crews work on utilities. Westbound traffic will be reduced from Skyline to Southwest 12th Place. * Corkscrew Road: Construction has begun on the two lane curve on the eastern portion of the road. * Main Street: Lanes could be closed from west of Broadway to Monroe Street. * Evans Avenue: Work is under way from just south of Hanson Street to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Crews will reconstruct Hanson through the Fowler Street intersection. Fowler Street travel lanes will be reduced to one north and southbound lane approximately 300 feet from the intersection. One lane east and westbound will be maintained on Hanson. Work is expected to last six months. * First Street: The road from Jackson to Dean streets is closed. The road is closed at Heitman. * Royal Palm Avenue: The road is closed from First to Second streets. * Broadway: The road is closed from south of the Veranda Restaurant to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. * Second Street: The road at Seaboard Street from Palm Beach Boulevard to Fowler Street is closed to westbound traffic. * Hendry Street: The road is closed from First Street to south of Bay Street. * Richmond Street: The road from Lee Street to Royal Palm Avenue is closed. * Heitman Street: The road from First Street to just north of Main Street is closed. * U.S. 41: Crews are installing turn lanes from U.S. 41 to around 1,400 feet north of Broadway. * Metro Parkway: The road will be milled and resurfaced from Colonial Boulevard to Daniels Parkway. Crews will install a turn lane from Landingview Road to Colonial Boulevard. * Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard: Traffic on MLK east of the Fowler Street intersection has been shifted to the south side of the road to allow crews to build a new railroad bed. Two eastbound lanes and one westbound lane will be maintained on MLK. * Palm Beach Boulevard: Crews are building medians in the roadway from Interstate 75 to Seaboard Street. Crews will also resurface Palm Beach Boulevard from Orange River Boulevard to Seaboard Street after the medians are installed. Paving is under way and lanes could be closed from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. * State Road 82/Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard: The road will be milled and resurfaced from West Gregory Avenue to west of Alabama Road. Crews will be repairing the road from Alabama Road east to the Lee/Hendry County line and lanes could be closed intermittently. * Business 41: Crews are working on landscaping and irrigation from Littleton to Bayshore Roads. * U.S. 41: Crews will install turn lanes from Fork to Littleton roads. * Bayshore Road: Lanes could be closed and traffic delayed while crews are installing turn lanes near the intersection of Slater Road. * Pine Island Road: Crews are working about 1/2 mile west of the intersection of U.S. 41 removing curbing and installing drainage. Lanes could be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. * Stringfellow Road: Crews could be working on the Monro Canal Bridge. * Sanibel Causeway: Traffic may be delayed while crews work on the road on both sides of bridges A, B, and C, the causeway islands and toll plaza. * U.S. 41: Southbound lanes could be closed from Harbor Plaza to 3/4 of a mile south of Alico while crews install turn lanes. * Three Oaks Parkway: The road will be widened between Corkscrew and Alico roads. * Summerlin Road: The road will be widened to six lanes and an overpass built at College Parkway. Two travel lanes in each direction will be maintained. * Treeline Avenue: Irrigation and landscaping will be installed between Colonial Boulevard and Daniels Parkway. * San Carlos Boulevard: Crews will be installing culvert pipes between Gladiolus Drive and Kelly Road. via News Press
