LOL, very true. Both statements.

Lili, you are absolutely right. This is just one reason we don't recommend drinking and then performing a ritual. Unless you're giving tribute to Dionysus or something like that, it is also disrespectful.

Well ya know.....you can have alcoholic drinks during ritual...but you SIP..you don't "guzzle"! A person can imbibe without comsuming enough to become "impaired". lol!!!! One should not drink BEFORE a ritual though...messes with the energies and you sensibility.

There are more injuries done while performing rituals, the most common one being while cutting an apple crosswise to show the star within the apple itself.

My father used to get the cases in the ER and had to stitch the cuts up...including mine...LOL!

Luckily, I don't have alcohol in my rituals...I need my senses to be clear, not dulled out.

Well, unfortunately I'm a bit of a clutz so the potential is always there for me to accidentally stab, cut or burn myself with or without a drink. lol

Friend don't let friends invoke drunk!

Exactly! There's a big difference between a sip of mead to honor the God & Goddess & a bottle of cheap rotgut to get blasted ("hic!")
