He did not drink whiskey or beer or get drunk. It was grape juice that was drunk before it got fermented. And He didn't drink it on a daily basis. Wine was okay with food because it was natural and did not get you intoxicated like french wines. The wine made from water, by the way, was not alcoholic. This good wine had been miraculously created by the Creator and was brand new, with no time to ferment and become old, intoxicating wine. The Greek word oinos was used for the juice of grapes in general, the same word for both unfermented and fermented wine, with the context determining which. The decay process, utilizing leaven (always in Scripture representing corruption) to convert good fresh wine into old, intoxicating wine, could not have acted in this case because Christ Himself had created the wine in its originally intended form before sin and decay entered the world. In this form, it was certainly the best wine, having all the health-giving, joy-inspiring character it was created to exhibit in the beginning without the intoxication. It was probably the same wine which Christ will provide in "that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom" (Matthew 26:29), and it certainly will not induce drunkenness." (Dr. Henry M. Morris, The Defenders Bible - notes) So Jesus Christ is not on any drinkers’ side being the wine at the wedding was non-alcholic.

That includes your kind as well. Atheists, religious, christians, muslims, male, female, adult and young, can all be classified as fat or overweight. That has nothing to do with hypocrisy. Weight is a problem experienced by all people.

You have backsliders in all classes and religions. That does not reflect on the true and faithful ones. Remember that Jesus had hundreds of desciples and twelve representative ones. Many of those left after a while because of faithlessness and unwillingness to stay the path.

The "good wine" Jesus made at Cana (John 2:10) was "good" not because of its high alcoholic content, but because it was fresh, unfermented grape juice. This is indicated by external and internal considerations. Externally, contemporary authors, such as Pliny and Plutarch, attest that "good wines" were those which did not intoxicate, having had their alcoholic potency removed. Internally, moral consistency demands that Christ could not have miraculously produced between 120 to 160 gallons of intoxicating wine for the use of men, women and children gathered at the Cana’s wedding feast, without becoming morally responsible for prolonging and increasing their intoxication. Scriptural and moral consistency requires that "the good wine" produced by Christ was fresh, unfermented grape juice. This is supported by the very adjective used to describe it, namely kalos, which denotes that which is morally excellent, instead of agathos, which means simply good.

Sure, they made grape juice before Welches did. The evidence is there for you to follow. He didn't have to crush grapes, He just used plain water. His first miracle. Just plain fact.
