Who said they didn't care about what the city manager makes. Now your just trying to justify wasting money on Llyod Ave. Furthermore, where do you think the the rest of the money for the failling project is comming from? YOUR COUNTY TAX DOLLARS!!! Five years, you're right, and what is there to show for it. Six, in my opinion, ugly lights! If you want to talk salaries, don't forget the chief and the slumlord. I do worry where my tax dollars are really going. That's why the council shouldn't support wastefull spending. How's that revitalization project going that is sucking tax dollars? Oh wait, when I sit down and talk to Ron he'll let me know.

Ron loves to spend other peoples money. We would save a lot of money if he would quit trying to help the city. Take up fishing Ron.

What have you done to help out the city to make it a better place. Ron has done alot for this city if he didnt who would. The money is out there to get if we dont get it some other city or boro would and guess what we are still paying taxes so lets get it for us to fix our city up. If Greensburg gets it we are still paying for it with our taxes, but you cant think like that can you. All you want to do is wine and bitch about Latrobe's taxes. Wake up people we will be left behind if we dont do something NOW

It sounds as if there are many projects that could be beneficial to your area, also a few that appear to be smoke and mirrors.
There is your tax money available for many of these projects, with no payback, it is available thru Grants under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Have your City Manager or Mayor contact your Congressman and Senator, their Staffers will help determine what projects to pursue, which Fed Agency has the Grant money and how to apply. Your elected Congressmen and Senator enjoy releaseing news articles about how much Stimulus Funds have come into their territory.

Come on people, lets have a little vision. Statistics prove that a well-maintained, attractive city will draw people and businesses to it. You've heard the old saying, you have to spend money to make money. What would you prefer? Let the city deteriorate to the point where it looks like crap. Instead of criticizing others who are trying to do something positive, why not generate some ideas? What do you suggest Glenn Beck? And please try and be constructive, if that's possible for you.

I totally agree with you. Where I see the problem is council and Ron have too many projects in too many areas of the city. There needs to be a stratigic plan and set goals to achieve them with moneys availible. The shot gun approach is NOT working! Alot can be done just by simply appointing a full time zoning officer with the authority to issue fines. This would just about net zero in costs and greatly improve the "look" of our great city.

Daily Horoscope for December 11

Scorpio

Take it slowly today otherwise you'll be almost guaranteed to lose your temper and make yourself very unpopular in the process. If someone is annoying you, you won't need any encouragement to start a row because you're looking for outlets for your current ire and irritation. OK, but do your best to direct your anger at the person who deserves it and not at innocent bystanders.
