I would like to be the first to say "congratulations" to you Mayor Elect Griffin. Hopefully you can follow your predecessor and challenge council to think for themselves. You're going to struggle if they treat your vision the same way they treated Mayor Tom.

I concur. I found it interesting that it took Kenny B all but a few hours to take the first shot at her with that "learning curve" comment.
Definitely an impressive victory. Its nice to see that having a "D" follow your name on the ballot is no longer a guarantee in Latrobe.

Congratulations to Mayor Elect Griffin! It is obvious that the people of this town are sick of the good old boy system of government. Then you have Kenny Baldoneri make an idiotic comment like "steep learning curve" to the Trib. Nothing but class all the way.

I find it amusing that it took "sam adams" but a few hours to take a shot at me for my learning curve" statement. Vis-a-vis the statement that this comment was idiotic belies the fact that the mayor elect has no experience. Barb will tell you that she has a lot to learn, just as we all do when embarking on a new venture. I've known the Griffin family for 50+ years & look forward to working with her in a cooperative collegial environment. Congratulation Mayor Griffin!

Great now the "hill dwellers", have control of the city. Now they can really look down on us common folk living on the other side of the tracks. Sounds like she maybe a backdoor Good Ole Boy. Time will tell.
