Dancer due for sentencing in Vegas fatal DUI case

A 28-year-old former Las Vegas strip club dancer is facing up to 15 years in state prison after pleading guilty to felony driving under the influence in an after-work crash that killed a man and injured the man's 2-year-old son. Miller was accused of having five times the legal limit of marijuana in her blood when she crashed her boyfriend's Hummer into the driver's side of a Ford Escort early March 23, 2013.

Truck restrictions eased on damaged I-15 in Nevada

State transportation officials have expanded overnight hours for commercial trucks to use a flood-damaged stretch of Interstate 15 between Las Vegas and Salt Lake City, while crews continue repairs. The freeway has one lane open in each direction through a stretch near Moapa, about 50 miles northeast of Las Vegas.

Medical episode may have led to accident that killed two women

Two woman are dead and a man is in critical condition today after a two-vehicle accident Saturday evening on the west side of the valley that may have been caused by a medical episode. The Nevada Highway Patrol said the accident about 7 p.m. involved a 1996 Toyota Camry and a 2003 Mercedes E320 as they exited Interstate 215 at the Decatur Street off-ramp.

A man who was shot dead in the central valley on Thursday evening was identified by the Clark County coroner's office on Saturday as DeAngelo Williams, 28, of Las Vegas. Officers were called to the Sherman Gardens apartment complex, in the 1700 block of J Street, near Martin Luther King Boulevard and Owens Avenue, about 7:30 p.m., Las Vegas police said.
