City to commission energy-rate study
“I can't predict what that (the study's verdict of the city's billing rates) may or may not be, but we have not done that in quite a few years”
The City of Trinidad plans to commission a study of its electrical billing rates. The study is expected to be conducted by the Nebraska Municipal Power Pool (NMPP) and is estimated by City Manager Jim Soltis to cost the city $16,400.
The study would be designed to tell the city how to adjust its billing electrical rates.
"Obviously the money will be well spent if we adhere to the results of the study," Soltis said. He stated that the results of the study could tell the city that it should adjust its billing rates either higher or lower. Read more
