Something that is based on a lie. Everyone in Laramie knows sheppard was a drug addict and the two men were his dealers. They knew he was gay, everyone knew sheppard was gay...and no one cared. All it was about was money that sheppard owed for drugs. Do the damm research. Follow the trail. Talk to the people. Find out that the reason the story was fabricated to be a gay hate crime was money. The money the town made from the media attention. NOTHING MORE! Do the research.
