DeKalb, Jackson and Marshall counties in Northeast Alabama will receive federal disaster help in its recovery from a series of severe storms that hit the area April 10-13, the Federal Emergency Management Agency announced today.

Severe storms caused significant damage in northeast Alabama today. Reported tornadoes hit homes, downed trees and have made it tough for rescue crews to get to people who need help.
