I hope they bring in good, permanent doctors, specialist would be nice.
Sick and crippled or elderly need care without having to drive to Lexington, Danville or Richmond.
Maybe they will bring in up to date medical testing and pet/cat scan so we can have the neccessary equipment needed to pinpoint the problem areas that cause our issues, so we don't have to travel to get testing done.
This might be a step in the right direction to get all our citizens out of the 40 year rut we have been in, maybe even encourage the young people so they can have a future at home to look foward to.
Congradulations to whomever that finally prodded Lonnie into doing something for his home community instead of taking care of his voter base.
It took him 25 years to finally do something for our community, if it was actually him that was in the group that contacted Patti A Clay to get them interested in coming here.
My youngest child was born in the Richmond hospital, they were much better than EMMH, where the first 3 were born.
I noticed that St. Joseph, EMMH, Central Baptist, and other Big Hospital Groups are competing for small communities, I doubt it's about care as it is about Big Bucks.
I just hope they will furnish affordable care for those of us that can't afford the high cost of insurance, but don't qualify for other means of help. There are many caught in between the insurance companies high premiums and Medicare/Medicade, they don't seek medical care when they really need it because they have to eat, to live as well as the need for medical care.

I hope they move the entire hospital over there, that way they will not be killing innocent madison county people.

I guess if you have no help at all and cannot go anywhere they are better than nothing, but if you can get to lexington, even if you have to walk, then go.

About ten or so years ago there was a big deal made about St. Joseph Hospital, Garrard County and Lincoln County all getting together and building a new hospital close the county line. Does anybody know what happened to that? I heard it was fighting between the two counties but nothing specific.

I remember the talk, but don't know what happened.
Did you notice that Central Baptist and St. Joe. are spreading out all over Eastern and south eastern Ky? It ain't happening because they are concerned about communities health, they are concerned about making big bucks.

You must be one of the unhappy drug seekers from the ER.

Anything has to be better than the Stanford Medical Park they do not know their a-holes from a hole in the ground. Had to go to three different docs because of them.

I don't know about the medical park, but Ft. Logan has some poor excuse for ER doctors.
I thought for years that the one on the night shift that is from the middle~east was pathetic until I had an experiencewith the little short guy in the ER on days there.
Where do they get these incompetent dwebs from? They must be from the lowest scoring graduates of the medical schools.

Daily Horoscope for December 5

Cancer

You're much more in command of your emotions today, which is just as well. You can get a lot done, as your personal energy and natural empathy is high. You'll be especially effective when it comes to clearing your desk of all the paperwork, and I'm not talking about shoving it on to the floor, either. If you've been waiting for news of a pay rise or bonus, it could arrive any moment now.
