Two men killed as big rig hits cliffside, in fiery crash

EL CENTRO a ' Two men were killed in a fiery crash in Imperial County Monday night when the big rig they were in crashed into a steep rock wall off Interstate 8. The driver of the truck, which was carrying frozen foods, was heading east on I-8 west of state Route 98 when it crashed about 9 p.m., California Highway Patrol Officer Pablo Torrez said.

Pro David Rush of Palermo, Calif., caught a five-bass limit weighing 9 pounds, 10 ounces Saturday to win the Stren Series Western tournament on Lake Oroville with a three-day total of 15 bass weighing 29-8. For his victory, Rush earned $16,716 cash and a 198VX Ranger boat and trailer with an Evinrude or Yamaha outboard.
