This may be a little off topic but I just heard the film company speak on TV. He said that in Switzerland this would be all over the media and I take it that he is baffled that it isn't here. Well I reason that it is because it is someone educated in law or law enforcement doing these killings and they don't want the media on it. I say to the families take it to CNN, MSNBC and FOX news. You'll get better coverage and your answer will come quicker. Hell, Nancy Grace on MSNBC will solve this quicker. |

I agree with you, I think it is a police officer because the killer leaves no evidence. He cleans the bodies off so good leaving nothing behind. |

i live in north mississippi and was merely working in south la. from lake charles to ville platt mainly. i heard of these murders from a friend in eunice and was shocked that is wasn't nationally televised. i agree that the families should go to fox or cnn. then maybe someone will be forced to do what needs to be done to catch the person or persons responsible. and maybe even cull a few bad apples from the local law enforcement.

Thanks for your post "concerned"! You are right on the money about getting national publicity through television news. This should have been done early in the investigation. Maybe some of the murders could have been avoided. I think someone is finally working on that angle right now. And I totally agree with your comment about "culling a few bad apples" from local law enforcement. Never hurts to make a clean sweep!

Yeah I just talked to my friend from Eunice who now lives close to Iowa la. She works till 10 PM every night and is terrified to drive to her home. I've got family in the MS senate that is going to bring the matter up. My "family" was shocked at the low press coverage as well.

My question now is this - Is the film company still in the area? because all of sudden the murders are a relatively dead issue. Please excuse the way it is said, I'm merely trying to make a point. Regardless we here nothing, absolutely nothing on local media - again.

I too just heard about this and am shocked it hasn't made national news. I would like to help get the word out. If there's anyone who would like to talk about what's going on in Jennings (with or without your name), get in touch with me. It's time to get more eyes on Jennings.

You should go to CNN.com , click on the link to contact us. Then send in a story idea for the Jennings serial killer. That's what several others and I did. |

Can't wait to hear what the outcome of that will be. I'm gonna get in touch with MSNBC just to cover bases.

The only article on the local new website was very brief and never updated with details as promised. So basically, when something does go wrong, the general public receives very little or absolutely no information other than gossip. Another forum I was just on said that this 20 year old girl, though found alive, was rumored to have been taken from her bed in the middle of the night. With the lack of details, no one knows if this is even related. How are we citizens supposed to feel? This case is seemingly getting nowhere fast while more and more missing persons are reported and corpses found. It is extremely frustrating. I'm sure everyone is hoping and praying for the story to get broadcasted nationally so that someone can be recruited to actually make some progress with this terrible unsolved situation. This town is so small and 8 girls are dead, rumored that other past murders are tied to the confirmed 8...why has it not been solves??? |

The TASK force as the put it is looking into everyone that is not connected and can not be connected to the girls they talk to one person said he was a suspect but he was in jail for the first two murders. that in itself screams COVER UP. |

If as much energy was put into helping our police officers as was put into complaining on the internet, maybe we would be closer to solving this. But then again, probably not. Anyone familiar with serial killings will know that many are never solved and most take over 7 years to solve. Those that are solved are usually done because of an informant of some type.
Try supporting our officers instead of accusing. Also, everyone one here should work on their spelling and grammar. You embarrass many of us in the city of Jennings. |
||||
|
And many police officers should work on their writing skills. You are police officers, not doctors. And truly, do any of you really have people skills? The pot calling the kettle black.(LMAO)
Please let us also not forget that you would all be supported if you would have gotten the right help with these cases to begin. These families have a right to know who did this and if it takes the public to bring in top notch media attention then we will do it. Good day, officer. |

Okay I find a few things wrong with this statement. First off, we do not exactly know what the police are doing as they investigate this case. I agree, we COULD help them...as soon as they give us something to work with! People aren't complaining for no reason! We are complaining because we WANT to help and have nothing but online forums and timelines and endless lists of details to sift through. How are we supposed to aid law enforcement? If they would release a bit more information, then the MEDIA would have articles more than 2 sentences long to publish. THEN us citizens could take that information, combine it with our knowledge, and offer police the help that we are capable of providing. We are not trying to make police look bad. We are trying to take a more active role than is currently available. As far as grammar, even people with bad grammar have opinions worth listening to. I hope my grammar is fitting for you. |
||||
I appreciate your words of support for the cause. I also find your grammar highly pleasing, thought I am not one to judge people stating their opinions off of their word usage.:) |
