On Saturday, September 19, 2009, nearly 100 members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from the Laie Hawaii North Stake worked alongside volunteers from the North Shore Outdoor Circle to beautify Ke Ala Pupukea, a 3.5-mile bike path that runs through rural and commercial areas and along world renowned Sunset Beach.
It only took about one hour for the Western New Mexico University volleyball team to wrangle up the Colorado State University - Pueblo ThunderWolves Friday night.

LDS set Sunset Bike Path clean-up
Members of the Laie Hawaii North Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - which stretches from Laie to Pupukea - will be working in conjunction with the North Shore Outdoor Circle to beautiful the Sunset Bike Path.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints recently unveiled its plans for a large master development in Laie, with 1,200 homes, shopping centers, churches and parks.
A $700,000 painting stolen from Wyland Galleries Hawaii in Waikiki on Sunday was recovered undamaged in Chinatown, police said.
