No big deal, we deal with them all the time. What bothers me a bit is the training that 160th conducted at Linton Beach last week. They notified some of us that they would be landing some CH-47s near the picnic area. I thought, "no big deal" until they started flying over the beach and picnic area. It was pretty cool the first few times but when kids and picnics starting blowing all over the place it started to get out of hand. I wonder if this training was coordinated with anybody in the local community... dont think so. It took about 45 minutes for all the families to pack up what remained of their belongings and leave. It was a real shame what impression that unit left with those folks.

Snappy comeback.
Im not crying about the training my man. What my issue is that it didnt set a good example for the people that were there trying to enjoy the park. And it surely was not enjoyable for the children that kept getting blown over, or their toys blown out into the lake. I deal with helicopters every day so it didnt phase me or ruin my day. I sat there enjoying my beer. If this was a planned event, im sure the beach would have been closed for that day. What Im saying is that it didnt set good with the public.
