By Jeniece Smith Herald Staff Writer CLINTON - A 52-year-old Ladora man accused of traveling to Clinton for the purpose of engaging in sex acts with a minor was arrested Thursday, and made his initial appearance in Clinton County District Court on Friday morning.

A South Amana man died in Iowa County after his truck hit a calf that was in the roadway around 8:22 a.m. Saturday, according to the Iowa County Sheriff's Department.

Traffic is at a standstill on Interstate 80 near the 214 mile marker, between Ladora and Marengo, as water is flowing over the roadway.

Raymond W. Nace, age 79, of Ladora, died on Monday, May 25, 2009 at the Marengo Memorial Hospital.
