There is every likelihood that tomorrow will be the last day of halibut fishing off Washington's north coast at La Push and Neah Bay.

With the arrival of summer, anglers have their pick of numerous fishing opportunities throughout the state.

In a boulder field just below the summit of Mailbox Peak, a chatty pika babbles away, seeking attention from any and all.

The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife says the recreational halibut fishery off the north coast will reopen for another offshore day.

Salmon fishing is off to a modest start in the ocean off Washington, in a few spots on Puget Sound and in a few rivers, all of which opened over the past week.
