Hmmm... Funny thing-- Sheryl Easop, 2nd DWI in less than 3 months... I happen to know who she is, and see her driving around all of the time. Seems to me she has a problem?

On the other hand, I haven't seen her dog running at large any more since she was cited for it.

Funny how you do not mention this person's parents. Maybe they are very proud that he was busted!!

the high school is not responsible for his outside of the school activities.

Oh gee, what a concept, teenagers drinking. Wow, that has never happened before. It has been happening for decades all over the country. To stop that activity, the parents need to step in and parent their children. it is not the coaches nor the high schools responsibility. they aren't supposed to raise your kids.

I've got a new nickname for Alamogonzo. I now call it "Clown Town". Ive never seen so many clowns in my life here. What a sad excuse for a town.

If I could have free reign, to bitch slap who I wanted in this town, and got a nickel for each, I'd be Bill Gates.

fyi: ahs has some amazing students and athletes. david g deserved that award and that why they gave it to him. everyone else at the party are great kids wrong place wrong time sound familiar. so we like to have fun, like no one ever did back in "your day" people need to realize that they would have gotten busted like they did back in the day but times have changed but let us mess up we'll learn. leave it to the parents to judge them. not you or anyone on here cause your opinion doesnt matter

You are correct AHS student, there are amazing students and athletes at the school but when those athletes and their parents sign a contract stating they will not drink/do drugs, they need to realize, that IS A CONTRACT. I hope those who were caught will do their 45 days.
It is unfortunate that our city and its citizens will not step up and do something about the problem the high school students face in this town. There is nothing for them to do! Hence the problem with drinking, drugs, and let's not forget pregnancy.
Students are responsible for their own actions and the decisions they make however, I think the city owes our younger population a lot more than they have to offer. But, I suppose the retirees will disagree.

The 45 days will not happen specially if its football players. AHS will not allow anything to get in the way of winning.

It'll cost the high school too much if they kick all the football players out. What a shame. Maybe the gifted kids, the orchestra, band, choir, science and art students could get some funds for things they want to do once in a while if we weren't coddling the athletes. Of course the usual excuses apply. No one goes to see the band, orchestra, choir or science kids.

That's why the gifted kids' state funds get spent on the slower kids. Because no one cares about the gifted students. It's a real shame. Especially when people complain about how all the good kids leave Alamogordo. Could the reason be no one in this school district values the gifted students?

Oh, yeah, that's right. Gotta keep that spotlight on the athletes. All of them are making such wonderful use of all that funding and attention.

Feh.

ya including the star football player. and it doesnt seem too fair that most of the football players that were at the party got suspensed from the team yet the star gets to walk off free from any charges from the party and stays on the team even though he was consuming alcohol as well. i guess that goes to show how fair the justice system and athletic program is in alamogordo. if you're star running back you get a free pass, must be nice.

david deserved the tka award because he does well in school. kids make mistakes. alamogordo needs more things for its youth to do and maybe they wont have to consume alcohol and party so much. i bet if he was the star of the football team he would have walked away free just like it happened that night.

Daily Horoscope for January 6

Taurus

Try to keep your energy a little bit more under control. If you scatter in all directions, you'll end up hot and bothered. Mars tends to rev up your engine, but an awkward aspect to Saturn will make everything go in stops and starts. As soon as you try to shift into higher gear you meet immovable objects at the moment, so the solution is to slow down. There are wonderful, uplifting influences hanging around as well as tricky ones, so just hang in there.
