4 killings in 8 weeks has Oregon town on edge

comment on killings, I was raised in K falls am a native of portland . I'll be sixty-five in amonth. I remember Klamath in the old days when killings were almost as common as brushing your teeth. When if you went out to a movie, or night club , or just any where around town ,you didn't know if you would come back home or not. I was ashamed of Klamath in those days , so as I grew older I left

better training for law enforcement which includes a major change in the present staff!!! time to clean house , upgrade,reevaluate! invest in more intense training! the probation dept .needs a clean up too! personal experience.......very long ,pathetic ,scary story! people do not kid yourselves you and yours are not protected.

Keep your power dry boys and girls there letting prisoners loose as we speak. These people have nothing to lose they don't care about you are your childern,my gun's stay loaded,others should be aware,LOCK YOUR DOORS.

Seriously, what were you people doing in school aside from taking up space and your teacher's time? Granted, older people were often expected to work farms and were forced to drop out of school, but what's the rest of the contributors' excuses? I have to agree with your statement! I used to live in K. Falls, the police dept. takes a half hour to report to 911 calls, if they respond at all. You guys are on your own, just like us out in S.R. At least there are fewer people here to worry about!

Florence and Reedsport OR. Are nice place's,I have heard bend is nice.Coos Bay and North Bend was good when I was growing up don't know now. Stay FAR FAR AWAY from Astoria and ALL of Klamath county. Astoria has people that could care less and Klamath is disrespectful and has every thing bad you can think of.
Chiloquin is worse unless you are Indian then your fine. If your any other color your best off staying away or don't go out without some one with you and never go out at night, keep doors and windows locked, and don't have any age children here. My son got beat up, The boy told him your not one of us and my son asked? what that was, the boy kicked him and said Indian. the Jr high and high school is bad. What's really sad is that's not the Indian way. NOT ALL the Indians there are mean, but unfortunately a lot are.

Looking for a new home i lived in K falls for eight years left after being told my business grew to fast and i could not be controlled one of the good old boys even hired some one to come after me and my family. I was told by a wife of one of the county cop's that he told her that I needed to hire protection because i would not get it from the city or the county, we left.

We are on the cost now people are much nicer, small town so still a lot of bad small town politics but a great place to live. And like KEW said Florence and Reedsport are nice Florence is bigger and has a lot more to do Reedsport is hurting with the money crunch going on. Coos Bay and North Bend not as nice as it us to be, And Bend is just about as crocked as K Falls.

valleyfan59 you must be a liberal school teacher or related to one, I don't thank this was set up to debate. People like you can't except what some one ells might thank so you have to find some way to tear them down. My Family and i would like to say how bad we feel for the loss of the four we only know three of them and there family's and to them, Don't let the comets of a few discourage you Their are people out here that do care and are grieve right along side you.

stay in southern calif. where the welfare is better and the fruits and nut are in charge.

Klamath Falls is not as bad as people think.It was a great town, intel CALIFORNIA moved in.If people are rude tell them! Dont let rude people get the best of you.OR PUNCH THEM IN THE FACE!

I was to Sprague River a few days ago to drop off my son on his property. Nice little town. Small and way out there. Two stores and a lot of nice people out there. Better than living in California. He was looking for a place to get away from all the city folks. I think he found his new home and new life. From what I saw, I thinking about moving there also. To hear about whats going on (4 killings in 8 weeks) it makes me wonder, where can anyone move to and find pleace in America. But than again killings happen each day in the big cities. Hope they get these stupid killers. Sprague River, is a wonderful place to rise a family, hope it stay that way for years to come.
