Voters reject Issue 4 sales tax hike
Voters overwhelmingly rejected a 0.5 percent sales tax hike that Lorain County officials insisted was necessary to avoid additional cuts to county services.

Deputies, county workers hit the streets in support of Issue 4
Two laid-off Lorain County Sheriff's deputies were back on the streets Thursday, knocking on doors in an effort to convince voters to leave in place a 0.5 percent sales tax hike imposed by county commissioners earlier this year.
The goal is that someday recreational athletes will be able to hop on a trail at the mouth of the Black River in Lorain and run, walk, bike or rollerblade all the way to Kipton in southern Lorain County.
