Alaska plane makes emergency landing
Submitted by Billy Hackett on Thu, 11/19/2009 - 07:41. A National Transportation Safety Board investigator says a plane with eight people on board, including two children, made an emergency landing about 18 miles from the village of Tuntutuliak.
Emergency landing near Bethel smooth as runway
Passengers told The Anchorage Daily News the Yute Air pilot remained calm, and the landing Wednesday was so smooth it could have been on a runway.
Loss of power forces Cessna to land on tundra; no one injured
A Yute Air flight carrying eight people -- including two children on laps -- was forced to land on the tundra Wednesday night about 17 miles from the village of Tuntutuliak in southwest Alaska, an investigator said.
