Gunfire rang out on Green Street Saturday afternoon as law enforcement came face to face with an armed suspect.

The death of Kingstree resident Carl Edward Ballard has been ruled accidental. According to Williamsburg County Coroner Harrison McKnight, a MUSC autopsy report ruled Ballard's death as accidental due to cocaine ingestion.

A Kingstree man suspected of robbing the Pawleys Island Bakery in May was arrested in Williamsburg County, said Carrie Cuthbertson, spokeswoman for the Georgetown County Sheriff's office.
