More disabled vets could visit parks for free
That's if lawmakers approve a bill, S. 572, introduced by Sen. Katrina Shealy, R-Lexington, with cosponsorships by senators Yancey McGill, D-Kingstree, and Kent Williams, D-Marion. By waiving fees for any disabled veteran, regardless of the level of disability, state revenues would decline by $239,700 annually.
