Times are so tough around Huron County, locals say, that some folks are even running for office.

“They were incredibly brave. They put the helicopter on a steep ridge. Even the pilot got out. There were people there who helped carry us up a very steep ravine. It was a huge effort to get us off that hillside.”

After 22 years of service, Air-Med's oldest helicopter is being retired. University Health Care has four choppers in service, but on Thursday, the smallest one moved on. via ABC 4
