I agree for the need to reach out to the teachers who not only teach, but have the secondary difficult task of baby sitting our young people for most of there day. Being a good neighber, is so very important in the hard times we must deal with in our life times. But, I would like to add this thought. Teaching is a profession that brings a higher degree of being, a far more well reconized member of all communities, then those, let say, who is a plumber, meat cutter at the store, burgerflipper at the burger joint, the printer at the print shop, etc. Those folks are ALL ypur neighbors, and many are facing loss of their jobs, loss of income from investments, and other factors. Communities need to reach out as a whole, to all there fellow members, who have, are, or could be facing such difficulties, that this economy has fostered. I know for one, I got a lot better feeling from getting involved and making the time to help another soul, more then I ever did, in dropping something in the plate on Sunday's Boasting about oneselve is not so cool, but, I never got any bad vibes from hearing someone state - I helped a friend today!

Welcome to socialism, Jessica.
Since the Serrano decision in the 60's the state has gotten all the property tax money to distribute because the only way was called "unfair," a powerful weapon word for the belivers in "change." Before this California had the best education system that was the closest thing to free enterprise in the country because local money under local people ran the show. The "Education Codes" were a single book, now they are a bookshelf three feet wide and the educational bureaucrats ignore them doing what they want. Your only defense is to vote for Republicans who will stop the profligate spending of socialist Democrats seeking power through taxes, fees and other forms of legal theft. |

Hmmm, i thought our governor was a republican, and I thought the last president (who completely ruined the nation's economy) was a republican too, golly, maybe a-drain doesn't have his facts straight and is ignoring reality again! Let's look at the school board: Peter, Rick, John and Chris are republicans, only Gary is a democrat, and Gary didn't even vote on this issue. the decision to fire 9 teachers was made without ANY notice in ANY lake County news source, there wasn't a single word about the meeting anywhere a normal person would see it. More sleaze, brought to you by arrogant, clueless republican thugs, a-drain's kind of people! |

I knew something was missing! That fork in my eye! Arnold Schawartzenegger is not a Republican and has not been since he married a Kennedy. Maria's got him by the you-know-what and he is obeying like any good-and-proper-beaten-down-ol d-married-guy. George W. Bush tried to beat the Democrats at their own game and discovered that the worst place to be is in the toilet when you flush it. We cannot spend the future and expect to have one. I am talking about real, traditional Republicans who keep the government in check. That we do not have and desparately need. |
