Keeseville Veterans Memorial Park

Megan Rock, Major of Keeseville was in attendance at the Adirondack Park Agency Meeting on April 16, 2009 in Ray Brook, which resulted in the variance approval for construction. The Veterans Memorial Park is located in Village of Keeseville, Essex County, Town of Chesterfield on the Ausable River. George Moore donated the land for this project. Absolutely one of the most beautiful veterans statue I have ever seen. Carved into the stone are these words OUR COMMUNITY HONORS THE COURAGE, SACRIFICE AND DEVOTION OF ITS VETERANS / MAY WE ALWAYS REMEMBER ALL WHO SERVED, FOUGHT AND DIED IN THE DEFENCE OF AMERICA’S FREEDOM AND WHO ASKED NOTHING IN RETURN LET US NOT LOSE WHAT THEY HAVE GAINED / INTO THE LIGHT / COMMISSIONED BY GEORGE MOORE 2009. A beautiful stone statue now is in place at the park and construction is continuing. This will be a wonderful place for veterans and the community to meet and share their memories, dreams and hopes.
