LOGANSPORT - Traffic stops over two days last week resulted in the arrests of eight people, all of whom had prior records, on various traffic and drug offenses and outstanding arrest warrants, according to a news release Monday from the DeSoto sheriff's office.

DeSoto Parish Sheriff Rodney Arbuckle says a bullet killed a 62-year-old Keatchie woman whose body was found in bed next to her husband's. He says Gloria Mantooth and her 61-year-old husband, Leonard Mantooth, apparently died about two weeks before their bodies were found Thursday.

Autopsies have been ordered to determine what caused the deaths of a Keatchie-area couple found dead in their bed.
