At the May 28 regular meeting of the Karnes City City Council, the council discussed moving forward with plans to restart and restore the Karnes City Animal Control.

Runge ISD students, Jaelyn Garza, Christian Gutierrez, Michael Maldonado, Broden Garcia and Lauryn Brynelsen will be attending an Energy Camp sponsored by Karnes City and Marathon Oil.

Tim Cole with the Austin Reptile Service will be bringing his "Snakes of Texas" program to the Karnes City Public Library Thursday, June 13 at 10:30 a.m. Mr. Cole will be bringing both venomous and nonvenomous species, including cottonmouths, Mexican milk snakes, coral snakes, copperheads, rat snakes, diamondback rattlesnakes, etc.

Recently the law firm of Langley, Banack & Butler announced the expansion of their law firm and offices in Karnes City.
