Devoe: 'I just wish I never had that gun'

Ah, of course it was the gun's fault. A stolen gun, no less.

This guy has too many excuses - gun's fault, drugs, a snake bit him. This case is a good example of the reason why we have the death penalty.

I don't believe he used any of it as an excuse. I think that during the phone call to Waldrop, he was just recounting that time period as a lot of people will do when they have a really bad day. He also recounted "that he had just bought a new car, a new trailer, tools, a stereo and a computer."

I'll be quick to add that if he knew he shouldn't have a gun, then DON'T HAVE IT. If you're going to have it, you'll be held responsible.

Yes, I'm sure you do. I guess that would be the best insurance plan for your good friend Bill-----.

“It was Bill’s gun that I used,” Devoe said.

Seems to me your friend should be considered an accomplice for providing the weapon.

The gun was stolen. Think of how you'd feel if someone stole your car and used it to kill six people.
