Man dies after trench collapses
According to a Worth County Sheriffa s Office report, when authorities arrived they found that the man had been working on a drainage tile in his bean field when the trench that he had dug collapsed, trapping him.

Supervisors hold pre-construction meeting for drainage district work
A pre-construction meeting was held this week with the Wright County Board of Supervisors for drainage work planned in DD#181-9. Present for the meeting were Eldon Rossow of Mer Engineering in Fort Dodge, Brian Nettleton of Nettleton Excavating in Joice and drainage clerk Deb Lukes.
