New Nuclear Plants Benefit South Carolina
On March 11, South Carolina Electric & Gas completed the pouring of the concrete foundation for a new reactor at the V.C. Summer site in Jenkinsville, S.C. The plant's location in Fairfield County is one of the three counties I'm proud to represent in the South Carolina state Senate.

NRC schedules regulatory conference with SCE&G
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has scheduled a regulatory conference with South Carolina Electric & Gas to discuss the risk significance of an apparent violation related to the anchorage and spacing of rebar being used to reinforce concrete in the new units of the V.C. Summer nuclear station.
